Fun fact: Although of course this scene was planned since forever, the actual "pass code" here wasn't, 'cos I'm an unimaginative shit.

So while trying to decide on it, I was thinking about how, damn, I REALLY have a taste for cotto salami. And thus, Peppercorn.

Personally, I prefer my pizza password "pepperoni 100%".

Seabiscuit
Haha! Gotta have the full 100% of pepperoni, agreed.

Suddenly, Benjy's curse/gift is helping!

I'm guessing Peppercorn 5681 is the override code for the robot judging from the final panel.

That or the robot suddenly decided Eva's too immature to play with knives.

It finally proves itself useful, yikes.

It does seem to have done -something- good, at least.:D

Cool to see robogirl is still Walker's creation and responds properly to commands. Next command should be stab Eve immediately in confusion.
I hope she was not hacked enough that it will either backfire or Eva can order her otherwise :/
This fight looks pretty much over? :O

Fun fact: One drone I worked with was locked with a code. I called and emailed a bunch of relevant people but they all said it has to wait because they need to access their PC at work and take a look. I tried 0000 as a joke but nothing. Tried 1234 as another joke and... that worked. So yeah, security. Sigh.

Seabiscuit
Yup! Let's not stab Eva though, I still like her!
It's not quite over though...

LMAO... You know it never ceases to amaze me how many people use 1234 and "Password" and the like as their passwords. Like, woah. I imagine they only remain unhacked because people probably expect better of them :D

One of the things about conflict in stories I've noticed is that if some villain or challenge needs to be beat, there's always some screw up or unexpected thing because the writer wants the heroes to have it as non-easy as possible. To some writers, anything convenient to the characters is considerd OP. The Matrix went the way it did because of a screw up and deception from halfway through that completely derailed the protagonist's plans, and when the movie is about to end, they're still in the process of recovering from that, technically.

So my theory is that we're close to beating Eva, but not one comic away. We still seem pretty close to Endgame, but Eva dying now might be a bit too easy. Or gets played for drama and ends up being quite emotional, who knows. I'm getting a Dragon Ball Super kind of vibe from this: tease something suddenly, cut it off, and then next week you get to find out if Zamasu is actually dead or whatever. For all we know, next comic in we've got a knife going into Eva, that comic ends, and then the comic after she's wearing a flak jacket and is like "Haha!"

Not being derogatory, of course - I just like guessing what's gonna happen next with as ridiculous a guess as possible. I gotta go back and read the last 15 comics again for pacing. This is, legitimately, very interesting to witness.

Haha, it is a topic I can talk a lot about (one reason being that the stuff was somewhat related to my very first job a long time ago) but I guess it is not the point here so a "shorter" (TM) version.
You said "remain unhacked because people probably expect better" and you are correct or "half-correct" :D
I actually read papers where the authors put that as a legit kind of security albeit still a very bad one. Hidden in plain sight kind of thing nobody would guess because they try the most common ones and then figure it is probably complicated.
Another funny case is when I guessed a friend's wifi password: The name of his waifu... But I felt a bit depressed there and bought him a drink when we were out the next time, LMAO :D
There are dozens of documented and researched patterns and conventions people use to create their passwords that significantly raise the probability of a correct guess than mathematical conclusions suggest.
Some neighbors are so clever that they require MAC Address filtering to fight! (not to be confused with McAddress which you sometimes get in McD with your menu when two guys decide to talk about this loudly right next to you...)
There is also user: admin, pass: admin for routers many people do not know about. Sometimes even possible on a public wifi like in a restaurant...

Good point. Is turning point a better expression then?
I do not think the next page will suddenly conclude it since she might have something up her sleeve again but I think this is the first time she is actually genuinely surprised? Or at least looks that way!

@Jak Lmao!
Yeah, it's funny what people do, really. My passwords are total nonsense words and random numbers, sort of thing.:D
The router thing is funny to me. I don't worry for mine too much, as in the middle of nowhere, the signal isn't strong enough to even get to the back door. :D :D

@Edward D'awww thank you so much for your thoughts! Haha. It really is an amazing feeling to see this much discussion and theorizing in a silly little comic I created... I'm glad y'all are enjoying! :)

Seabiscuit 23rd Jun 2018, 12:47 PM edit delete reply

Oh, you're not missing anything. The password is just random shit; The reason for that being it's something you wouldn't ever say in a normal conversation.

What if that pass code is a "kill me" command. D:
If the MC dies, no one can activate the bomb anymore, right?
Seabiscuit 23rd Jun 2018, 12:48 PM edit delete reply
Seabiscuit
Gosh, can confirm, the robot won't kill itself! D:

But indeed, if there's no Benny boy, the bomb sits.
