And we're back! I wonder what this is that she picked up...
(I realize now I made a sad mistake in the colors of this object and her phone- It is *not* her phone she has there, but rather the thing that hits the back wall in the second panel.)

I do so love visiting my grandma. She is, however, a compulsive feeder. Majorly! And mostly for junk food. It bothers her quite a bit that I don't snack a lot or keep much junk around. She also thinks I'm too thin.
So whenever I visit and take her shopping, she insists on getting me such. And you can't say 'no' to my grandma- Even at almost 97 years old, she can be hella stubborn! She will stand in the candy aisle and refuse to move until I've picked out a sufficient amount of goodies. It's really pretty funny, and so, this is my latest haul. I'd think I was set for several months, but grandma would disagree!

Heheheh.
Goldfish have to be my most favoritest snack. I've actually never seen a commercial, though!

She looks really calm after witnessing such event, makes you wonder if she's hiding something.

Junk food galore! XD

Definitely not something you think you'll start your day with for sure.

But what is the mysterious object she picks up?
Seabiscuit 15th Oct 2016, 7:35 PM edit delete reply
Seabiscuit
Nope! Makes me glad I don't live in a city...
I wonder~

Apocalypse is on? o.O

She figured out some unpleasant truth in the second last panel (?)

Yes, I first thought she was checking her phone... ;)

Daaaaaw there are kitties :D
Yes, that haul is enough for several months, or weeks at least. I know I can eat a whole lot of this stuff within just a short period of time, but then it's enough for a good, good while.

I wonder if it isn't too far off... Hehe.

Yup! Of course my kitties are never far away ;) I'm all set~

Things that go boom are usually not good.
Dang, you got a sweet haul of junk food. Old people can be stubborn, but hey they can get away with a lot since they've already been through a lot.
I remember eating lots of Mexican sweet bread when I was younger. I was skinner back then. Now, not so much :)

I'd say not good, no, hehe.
Haha, true- We let her get away with it. It makes her happy to spoil the family, hahah.
(Ah, sounds delicious!)

I love seeing the world before the apocalypse. It's hella fun!

I hope you enjoy eating those cats you got in your junkfood haul.

True! Well, fun or depressing, depending on how you look at it.:D

Hahhahaha! The cats won't be eaten ;)

I dunno. The girl is hella suspicious. Obviously not thinking she caused the whole apocalypse LMAO but what is she hiding?
Pretty awkward reactions given the situation. Hm.

So I guess it really is a look back at the normal world. Looking forward to what actually happened :O

I approve of your haul AND grandma approving ;)
Really good to see she is doing so well. Sometimes age is just a number.

Oh my god she does greed shopping too! I'm on the verge of doing one of my own next Friday.

@Jak: Hahahaha! I just knew you'd be suspecting her of something :D
Thank you, I'm glad you look forward to it~

She really is doing well considering her age! She always comes with for the grocery shopping instead of leaving it to me, and she moves fast.

@Edward: Greed shopping? Ah, just buying a buncha junkfood? Sounds like a good plan for Halloween :D

I didn't even notice the image in the news post until I saw Madjak.

Basically, I came up with a name for getting hauls like that one (before I even considered calling them hauls) with very little restraint or consideration for my physical form. Usually a bit bigger. I call it greed shopping because I used to frequently buy an excessive amount of junk food and candy that I probably never even needed, and I still do it a bit now. Only difference is that currently I slow the frequency down with my Recession Points System, making me binge on candy way less often.

Can't imagine doing it with non-NZ confectioneries though.

Ed, send me some of that NZ candy. I am missing candy experience from that area :Y

@Edward Ah! I gotcha. That does sound fun! :D

@Jak ;~~~; You should get some delicious candies off amazon~

I don't know how to send candy by post yet, but I would. I could be the NZ Candy Correspondent. Send people shit like this:

And the really weird licorice combinations that some apparently haven't heard of.

Terrorist attack? I wonder what is that thing she got there...

Whoa! That is a lot of snacks. Please don't eat those kitties. D:

Nothing good, no matter what happened, probably! I wonder...

Hahaha. The kitties are perfectly safe! If anything, they want to help me with the snacks.;)

Oh man, I'm digging this new story arc. Am I to assume this will show us the "pre-apocalypse" era of the world? If so! I'm stoked! HECK... Even if it's not, I'm still stoked! STOKED X1000.
