It was sooo much fun drawing Benny boy with blood on him. More fun than it should of been really. It's just been so long since I've had the chance to put blood on something. Oh boy I have issues!
Also I find Jeff so cute when he's all worried like that, aw.

It's also been ages since a page has had so few panels. I think the last time I used so few panels was when Felix took a hammer to the face...

Still, it didn't make things any faster haha. If anything this page took longer than usual.

On a side but still WA related note, I did a drawing for the latest "draw your characters doing stuff" question on the forums, this one being "draw the child of your characters". Of course I had to draw what the child of Benjamin and Anne would look like!;D

Hope everyone had a good Halloween!;D
I was up until around 3 am watching horror movies and drawing. Aw yeah. No trick or treaters but I expected that, such is life in a small small small town. October came and went, no cats lost or gained; very much a first. Though, my aunts dog died.

I did read somewhere about how blood on a manga character adds a sexy factor by x20 or something like that. (Fangirling rates over One Piece's Zoro definitely went through this formula.) This is Science.

Anywhoooo! Yowch, Benny's bleeding everywhere, but I think the blood on his palm gets me the most - I hate it when I hurt my hands! >_>;;; Now, just where did he fall into...?

(Pun of the day: 'Now, that looks like a HOLE lotta trouble.')

Oh most definitely! I love blood. I love seeing my favorite characters with bloody parts. And oh it's so much fun to color!

...Holy shit I feel even more twisted typing that out just now. Therapy pls

Yup, ouch! Benny boy is in a world of hurt. I hate it too! Especially if it's my drawing hand! The /worst/ handicap...

As for where he fell, probably a basement of sorts.;D

(Oh my god that pun hahah. I have a feeling the pun tip jar is gonna be pretty full by the end of this...)

Oh dear, that looks like a pretty worrying head injury on Bejamin there! O_O

"Oh most definitely! I love blood. I love seeing my favorite characters with bloody parts. And oh it's so much fun to color!"

XXD It looks like I've got myself a kindred spirit here! I've been drawing very bloody pictures since I was at least 7 years old. Despite me not being sadistic, I find it oddly fun to draw and of course it is equally fun to apply fake blood liberally to a Halloween costume. In my case, I more commonly draw things covered in the blood of other things than my character's wounds but I've drawn both.

I'm also well known in my friend group's dungeons and dragons campaigns for playing very gruesome/evil characters. My current d&d character, Faelae, is a very disturbing and sadistic mass murderer/vampire tiefling. Her only real soft spots are her family, her equally vicious pets, and a few of the people in her adventuring party. The group photo that Clanjack drew and posted on Comatose has a blue fiend with four arms in it. That fiend is my current d&d character in case anyone was wondering. This character also is the host of a symbiotic and bioluminescent fungus, the same fungus I use as my profile picture here on comicfury.

Haha, he just can't catch a break!

HEH! Same! I remember freaking my mom out because when I was around 6, I had a stick I found and taped a lump of paper to the top in the shape of a spear and colored the tip red and pretended to hunt stuff...And a lot of my drawings when I was younger consisted of stuff like Cheetahs hunting things and there'd just be blood everywhere hahah. Adding blood to anything just makes it more awesome, hahah.

Wow! You really can be anything in D&D, huh? Haha. That sounds really fun and awesome though! Fungus...So that's what it was! That's very unique, I gotta say!

I understand exactly what you mean by fewer panels being more work. When I have six panels, I can work on all the same thing at once. For example, I can draw all the faces and then go back and draw all the bodies. This repetition seems to make it as easy to draw something six times as it is to draw once. Also, few panels means larger panels which requires more details. I'm having that problem with my next page. You did a good job.

Heh! That sounds like a good process. I go panel by panel myself, but typically use the same order for each one (starting with eyes->eyebrows->pupils etc etc).
Thank you!:D

That's one heck of a fall.
He'll need to check if he has a concussion.

I really like the blood affects here. So now Benjamin is going to find something awesome, right? (Why do I always try to predict stuff?)

Heheh, thank you!

Well, surely he'll find /something/. Will it be awesome? Well, we'll see...

Benny-boy's face sure looks like it's taken a pounding, and the knee :o

On a side note I really love the way you did the wood grain shading in that bottom panel, definitely a style choice that I think turned out very cool.

Hehe, it sure has! Damage assessment...Ouch!

Heh! Thank you!! I wanted to give the wood a bit more of a texture, and so...:D

Aaw!! Ben and Anne's child looks so cute! >w<

..I wonder if anyone else has been down there in a while..
Would scavengers have been likely to go investigate down there under the wooden planks, or not? Hmm..
If not, this is a good opportunity to explore!

I love your figure drawing in the last panel. He fills the page quite nicely.

I was wondering what scary movies you watched.

Me and my family went and saw John Wick on the weekend.

Heheh. Thank you !

Oh- Lots! Off the top of my head, the original Nightmare on elm street, Trick'r Treat, Friday the 13th, Re-Animator, V/H/S, Evil Dead 2, and Cemetery man. :D

Oh that sounds fun! I really wanna see Jonn Wick!
